To mark the BBC becoming the official broadcast partner of the Turner Prize in 2016, this documentary surveyed the prize's history since its foundation in 1984. Presented by Waldemar Januszczak, who resurrected the award in 1991 during his time Arts Commissioning Editor at Channel 4, interviewees included past winners Gillian Wearing, Anish Kapoor, Rachel Whiteread, Jeremy Deller and Assemble, as well as other associated figures such as Cornelia Parker, Yinka Shonibare, Jake Chapman and the prize's founder Sir Alan Bowness.
